Recently i bought the last, winter/spring 08/09, issue of Arena Homme +, probably the best mens fashion issue i've ever seen, including past Arena Homme + issues, of course..
It's entitled Hard Times! Recession, Rottenness, Romance.

It has Helmut Lang, M.Margiela, Christopher Bailey, H.Slimane, Rick Owens, Alexander McQueen, Y.Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo, Mrs Westwood (my fav.s of all the article) amoung many, many other huge icons..all nominating their own icon/hero. The presented items are surprising..from James Dean to Madonna, from The Face(R.I.P.) to some mediterranean volcanic island, from the mysthical power of the number 55 to its canine companions!..(McQueen dogs)

Master Bruce Weber also contributes with one intimate, touching, genius article, which i'll not describe here... I can just say that words + image are all on his count..which inevitably means PURE BEAUTY AND LYRICISM.

But the top writen article of the issue, is the last one, where Mark Simpson writes about the coming of The New Narcissus, under THE MIRROR MEN as title.

Again, i'll not write the article down here..but i really wish you could read it all..i'll just transcribe some keylines , as..
